Trey Benson is a professional running back for the Arizona Cardinals, who was selected in the third round (66th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Florida State University. Born in Greenville, Mississippi, Benson initially played college football for the Oregon Ducks in 2020 and 2021 before transferring to Florida State, where he became a dominant force over two seasons.
During his time with the Seminoles, Benson earned Second-Team All-ACC honors in both 2022 and 2023. He rushed for 1,896 yards and 23 touchdowns while adding 33 receptions for 371 yards and a touchdown. His performance included a career-high 200-yard rushing game and three 80-yard touchdowns, tying a program record. Known for his explosiveness and ability to break tackles, Benson posted a 4.39-second 40-yard dash time at the NFL Combine, leading many analysts to project him as a top rookie contributor in the NFL.
