President Donald Trump announced that White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt will be stepping down from her position at the end of the month.
According to the statement, Leavitt is leaving the role to spend more time with her family and young children. President Trump expressed support for her decision and praised her performance, describing her as one of his most trusted aides and “one of the best White House Press Secretaries in the History of the Office.”
While she is departing her formal role, Leavitt will remain in the Trump administration’s orbit as a top outside advisor. In this new capacity, she is expected to remain an influential voice within the Republican Party as the administration prepares for the upcoming midterm elections.
President Trump has not yet announced who will replace Leavitt as White House Press Secretary.
