A world without choice is not a way to live, suffering comes with the freedom to choose.
God reveals the consequences of sin. If there is no pain or suffering, because of our fallen nature, we would keep doing the same thing over and over.
Alerts us to danger. All pain and suffering is not bad.
Suffering reveals who we are.
