Sometimes, I feel sorry for democrats – how do you support a party that includes trash like this.

A long-shot Democratic congressional candidate from Hawaii received a dose of brutal karma last week after allegedly harassing beachgoers.

Kirill Basin, 40, was caught on camera wearing only his underwear while shouting at and threatening people relaxing at Keawakapu Beach in South Kihei after a 61-year-old man asked him to turn down his music.

At one point, Basin is seen approaching a group of beachgoers to argue before retreating and saying, “I told him if he wants to go to the hospital, come here.”

However, his loud confidence would soon be silenced.

Basin became involved in an altercation with a large, tattooed man and attempted to swing a beach chair at him. Before he could complete the swing, the man landed a powerful right-hand punch that struck Basin in the face.

The blow knocked Basin unconscious. The larger man then rubbed Basin’s sternum until he regained consciousness before telling him, “Watch your f–king mouth, Haole boy,” using the term “Haole,” which is commonly used in Hawaii to refer to white people and can be used as a derogatory expression depending on the context.

According to reports, Basin later returned for another confrontation after telling the man he would “go to jail.” Although he ran toward him while shouting, “Come on, b-tch!” he stopped short of another physical altercation.

Witnesses at the scene allege that Basin told beachgoers he had a gun and later pulled a knife on the man.

Authorities say Basin then threw the knife into the water, but police recovered it and arrested him on two counts of first-degree terroristic threatening.

His bail was set at $1 million. Basin is challenging Rep. Jill Tokuda in Hawaii’s 2nd Congressional District.

This is not Basin’s first encounter with law enforcement. In May, he allegedly pulled a gun on government officials after storming a government building, resulting in his arrest on a charge of first-degree terroristic threatening.

According to Civil Beat, Basin allegedly threatened two Maui County employees during the incident before fleeing the government building in Wailuku.

In an Instagram post on Thursday—the day before his arrest—Basin claimed that police had tortured him for 14 hours.

“This is the lawsuit I served today. It basically outlines how 3 police officers tortured me for 14 hours,” he wrote. “That’s the gist. It’ll never happen to anyone again.”
