A video surfaced Saturday showing Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer sitting in his bar while a woman, who does not appear to be his wife, was seen dancing up to him.
The Jaguars played in Cincinnati on Thursday night against the Bengals and Meyer did not return with the team back to Jacksonville after their 24-21 loss.
Because of the Thursday night game, the Jaguars players had the weekend off with their next practice not scheduled until Monday.
A video of the former Ohio State head coach turned Jacksonville Jaguars play caller went viral Saturday … showing a young, blonde woman grinding on Meyer at his Ohio bar. Meyer has been married to his wife, Shelley, since 1986.
Speaking to media Monday, Urban said he had apologized to his team, calling the incident a distraction and saying it was “stupid.” It was later discovered that Meyer did not address the team as a whole, rather he addressed each of the position departments individually.
Prior to the dancing video going viral, Shelley Meyer had commented on another photo of the coach out with friends, sharing that she had stayed home to babysit the couple’s grandkids with the hashtag “BuddyDeservedANightOut.”
She has not said anything since his apology, and Urban did not mention his wife during the presser.
Meanwhile a second video has surfaced on Tuesday, that doesn’t help his cause at all.
Jaguars owner Shad Khan is clearly furious with Urban Meyer for his bar antics over the weekend … calling the head coach’s actions “inexcusable.”
Just 1 day after Meyer apologized after video surfaced of him dancing with a woman — who wasn’t his wife — Khan laid into the team’s headman, essentially saying the coach is now on thin ice.
“What I will say is his conduct last weekend was inexcusable,” Khan said, adding he did have a meeting with Meyer over it all.
“I appreciate Urban’s remorse, which I believe is sincere. Now, he must regain our trust and respect.”
